Takuhiro Shinomoto of Tortoise in Venice, California designed the line, and it is made in Hasami, Nagasaki, where porcelain has been produced for almost 400 years.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 3 3\/8 inches across it shares its diameter with the mugs, the sugar pot and creamer, so the tea service stacks and stores together.
