Description
The Audo Copenhagen Échasse Vase raises a teardrop body, blown from softly tinted glass, on four brass legs that read as architectural support rather than decorative detail. Empty or holding stems, it reads as an object, the proportions and the contrast between glass and brushed brass carrying the form either way.
The glass is mouth-blown rather than mass-pressed, so the tint varies slightly from piece to piece, and the brass legs are brushed to a matte rather than a mirror finish. Drawn by Theresa Rand.
