Why made to order
A piece made for you, once you decide on it
Ready-made furniture is built to a forecast and held until it sells. Made to order reverses that. Production begins with your order, which removes the waste of unsold stock and gives you a piece configured to your room rather than to a sales projection.
Produced on demand
Nothing is made until you order it. There is no surplus stock, no clearance, and no piece built on the chance that someone will want it.
Made by the design house
Each piece is built by the brand that designed it, to the standards that carry its name. We coordinate the order, the timeline, and delivery.
Specified by you
Choose the textile, leather, wood, and finish, and on many pieces the configuration. The piece is built to those choices, not to a default.

Time is part of the material
Most made-to-order pieces take eight to sixteen weeks, and return a piece built to your specification, free of the compromises that come with producing for stock. For furniture meant to last decades, the wait is a small part of its life, and the only part you will not remember.

How it works
From selection to your room
Four steps, each one confirmed in writing before the next begins.

Browse the made-to-order collection. Each listing shows its lead time and the finishes and materials available.
Specify and confirm
Choose textiles, finishes, and configuration with us. Request swatches to see them in your room. You receive a written confirmation of every detail before anything is made.
Production begins
Your order goes to the design house, where the piece is built to your specification. We track its progress and keep you informed.
Delivery
Once your piece ships, we arrange a delivery appointment with you. Many pieces include white glove delivery to your room of choice, with unpacking and packaging removal. Most others arrive at the curb, with white glove available as an upgrade. Each listing shows which applies.
