The Hasami Porcelain Mug is made in Hasami, Japan from a blend of crushed Amakusa stone and porcelain clay. The matte, unglazed exterior has a textured surface that provides secure grip without a rubberized or coated finish. The form is straight-sided and cylindrical with no taper.

Everyday Use with Modular Stacking

The Hasami Porcelain Mug is both microwave- and dishwasher-safe. Unlike typical unglazed porcelain, which usually requires hand washing, the Amakusa clay body removes this limitation. The mug stacks flush with other Hasami pieces of the same diameter across the full ceramic and wood range. The unglazed interior is food-safe and develops a natural patina with regular use.
