Originally designed for the Audo Space café, the Androgyne Side Table was developed to meet the demands of compact public interiors before entering wider production. Its design is built around a clear relationship between a thin tabletop and wide, flat legs, creating a composed silhouette that balances surface weight and structural clarity.
Steel Base with Interchangeable Tops
The table features laser-cut steel legs, available in black or ivory, paired with a selection of marble tops or offered as a base-only version with an all-metal surface. The honed marble introduces subtle variation and reflectivity, while the matte steel base keeps the form visually grounded and durable.
Compact Scale for Flexible Placement
With minimal overhang between the top and base, the table maintains a stable, balanced footprint. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for use beside seating, beds, or in small hospitality and exhibition settings, where clarity of form and material contrast are essential.
Design features
- Laser-Cut Steel Legs – The legs are cut from flat steel plate rather than bent or cast, producing clean, consistent edges and a precise geometric profile — the fabrication method is visible in the finished piece and contributes to its architectural character.
- Honed Marble Top Options – The marble surface is honed rather than polished, producing a matte finish that reduces reflectivity and highlights the stone's natural veining without the mirror-like quality of polished stone — more forgiving of surface marks in daily use.
- Black or Ivory Steel Base Finish – The two base finish options shift the table's visual temperature — black steel reads as grounded and industrial, ivory as lighter and more architectural — allowing the table to be specified for different interior contexts.
- Compact Scale for Flexible Placement – Originally designed for café use, the proportions support tight placement beside seating in small rooms without extending into circulation paths — the table is sized for its surface function rather than for spatial dominance.
- Designed by Danielle Siggerud – Part of the Androgyne series, the side table shares the laser-cut steel leg logic with the lounge table variant, allowing the two pieces to coexist in a room with a consistent structural vocabulary.
