The Audo Copenhagen Brasilia Lounge Chair sits low to the ground and holds you in a relaxed recline rather than an upright posture. Deep, softly filled cushions, wide flat armrests, and joinery left visible at the structural points reinforce that low, easy stance.
Anderssen & Voll designed it as a hybrid between an armchair and a lounge chair, pairing Scandinavian mid-century joinery with the low stance and generous arms of Brazilian Modernism. The Norwegian duo has said it was the setting, wood sculpture, and warm color palette of that tradition that pulled them toward something more exotic than their own Scandinavian roots.
The frame combines solid oak or oiled walnut legs with steel tubing and plywood for structure, topped with cold-cured foam cushions upholstered in a range of fabrics, bouclé, or sheepskin. A matching ottoman is sold separately, sharing the same frame and upholstery options.
