The ferm Living Kurbis Lampshade is made from lightweight Washi paper in an irregular, rounded form with an asymmetric silhouette that varies in contour across the surface. Washi paper is semi-translucent: light passes through the full shade surface rather than concentrating at the bulb. The outer profile has no flat planes or sharp transitions; the surface curves continuously from the top opening down to the base rim.
Standard fixture mount, no internal frame
The shade fits standard pendant fixtures via a top-mounted opening sized for a common bulb socket. Washi paper holds its formed shape under normal indoor conditions without an internal frame or support structure. The hand-forming process means each shade carries slight variation in its silhouette.
