The ferm Living Sekki Cup stands slightly above the table on its own raised foot, giving it a lighter footprint than a flat-bottomed cup. That foot lifts its dense stoneware body a fraction off the surface, finished in a cream glaze flecked with fine grey speckling that varies from piece to piece. The cream-and-speckle finish nods to the coarse-textured, hand-thrown stoneware of traditional Japanese ceramics that the Sekki collection draws on.
