—Description & details
The Hasami Porcelain Ash Rectangle Tray is solid ash, cut as a long rectangle the width of Hasami's 3 3/8-inch pieces. The shorter tray holds two of them side by side, a pair of mugs for instance, and the longer holds three, two mugs and a teapot. Like the round ash trays, it also works as a lid, a trivet or a plate. Takuhiro Shinomoto of Tortoise in Venice, California designed it as part of Hasami Porcelain's stacking system.
