The Maison Louis Marie No.09 Vallee De Farney Candle opens with grapefruit, orange, and black pepper, moves through cedarwood, patchouli, and geranium, and settles into vetiver, amber, and musk for a bright, sunlit woody scent. It is hand blended and poured in California from a soy wax blend, finished with a cotton wick for a clean, even burn. The scent is named for the Vallée de Farney, a nature preserve on Mauritius once explored by the family's ancestor, botanist Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars.

For an even burn, it is recommended to light your candle for 2 hours during the first use. To maintain the fragrance, avoid burning the candle for more than 3 hours at a time. Before each use, trim the wick to less than 1/4 of an inch to prevent any black smoke or residue from forming on the glass.
