Description & details
The New Works Atlas Stool sets a rounded solid oak seat on four squared legs, a post-and-lintel structure John Astbury drew from porticoes and colonnades. Named after the Titan who held up the heavens, the stool makes the meeting of leg and seat its whole subject, each part exaggerating the other.
It works as a seat, a side table or a stand for a lamp or a stack of books. Solid oak, oiled in natural or fumed, made in Latvia and delivered fully assembled.
