Product details
A low-profile rug in New Zealand wool, combining looped and hand-cut pile. Designed in Stockholm by Nordic Knots and handwoven by skilled artisans in India.
The Nordic Knots Park Rug carries a tight, low pile across the surface, with looped sections and cut sections set at coordinated heights to produce a quiet textural rhythm rather than a graphic pattern. The neutral tone runs warm across the full rug face.
Construction holds under foot traffic
The dense weave and short pile sit firm underfoot and resist visible compression. New Zealand wool reinforces this — the fiber recovers from foot traffic and holds surface structure over time without flattening into the weave.
Features
- Looped and Hand-Cut Pile Combination – Two pile techniques are used within the same weave — looped sections hold their height and create texture, while hand-cut sections produce a softer surface at points of contact, giving the rug both visual dimension and tactile variation.
- Dense New Zealand Wool Body – The wool is woven at high density, producing a rug with substantial weight and a firm, cushioned surface that holds its structure under furniture without compressing flat at load-bearing points.
- Sculpted Surface Without Pattern – The texture comes entirely from pile height variation rather than color contrast or printed design, so the rug adds depth to a room without introducing a competing visual element.
- Warm Neutral Colorways – Available in cream, white, grey, and oat tones that function as a neutral ground across a range of interior palettes — warm enough to avoid reading as cold, restrained enough not to shift the color balance of a room.
- Small-Batch Handcraft Production – Each rug is produced in limited quantities with close oversight of pile height and surface consistency, which reduces the irregularities in texture that appear in larger-run woven rugs.
- Multiple Size Configurations – Available from 5x8 through 10x14, allowing the rug to be sized precisely to a seating arrangement rather than trimmed or overlapped to fit.
Specifications
- Hand loomed loop and cut pile design: 0.59 inches thickness.
- New Zealand wool, for softness and durability.
- Designed in Stockholm, handmade in Bhadohi, India.
- Goodweave™ Certified
