The Nordic Knots Park Rug is a hand-loomed New Zealand wool rug woven at two pile heights, with looped sections standing above a cut field: 14 mm at the loops and 8 mm at the low part, so the pattern is made of the texture rather than printed into it. It is a low rug, under two-thirds of an inch at its thickest, which is what lets it sit under a door or a dining chair that has to slide back. Nordic Knots designed it in Stockholm, and it is handwoven in Bhadohi, India, under GoodWeave certification, which verifies fair working conditions at the looms.
Several colorways, in a range of sizes up to 10 by 14, and the texture reads as a quiet stripe across a room rather than a pattern you notice piece by piece. It is made in small batches, so the tone and texture vary slightly between rugs.
