The Nuura Rizzatto 43 stacks two mouth-blown opal domes on a slim brass or silver-finished frame. Each is blown by hand, so no two are identical. The opal glass is dense enough to hide the bulb, so the light spreads across the whole shade rather than pooling at the center. It measures 40 cm across and hangs from a height-adjustable cord. The ceiling plate is included, and the fixture takes a standard E27 bulb.
Bauhaus ballet, drawn as a chandelier
Paolo Rizzatto based the collection on Oskar Schlemmer's Triadisches Ballett, a Bauhaus stage work whose costumes reduced the dancers to geometric volumes. The stacked domes echo those shapes. Rizzatto trained as an architect in Milan and co-founded Luceplan, and his work sits in the collections of MoMA and the V&A. The Rizzatto collection was nominated for the Danish Design Award in 2021.
