Ferm Living Holiday
Ferm Living Christmas and holiday pieces from Copenhagen: a reusable 24-bag Christmas countdown, Advent candles and ceramic Advent gifts, a hand-braided rattan tree skirt, stoneware ornaments, brass candle holders and mouth-blown glassware for the holiday table. KANSO is an authorized US retailer of Ferm Living.
Ferm Living Christmas decor, Advent pieces and holiday tableware
Ferm Living Christmas pieces come from the Copenhagen design house Trine Andersen founded in 2006, and they follow a Danish approach to the season: Advent counted down week by week, a tree dressed in natural materials, and a table set for long dinners. KANSO is an authorized US retailer of Ferm Living, with insured delivery on every order.
Advent candles and a reusable advent calendar
The Christmas Countdown reworks the Danish julekalender as a reusable advent calendar: 24 organic cotton bags, each embroidered with its date, hang from a pinewood rod on leather cord, in four sizes for gifts of different shapes. The Scented Advent Candles mark the four Sundays before Christmas, each numbered candle poured into its own glass in a soy wax blend with a cinnamon scent. The Ceramic Advent Gifts are four wrapped and numbered stoneware pieces, a tray, a candle holder, a bowl with spoon and a small vase, opened one each Sunday.
A rattan tree skirt and ornaments
The Drape Braided Tree Skirt is slim rattan braided by hand into the shape of fabric gathered around the trunk, in two parts that fasten together. For a flat alternative, the Winter Forest Tree Blanket is a cotton circle printed with illustrations by the Danish illustrator Lisa Grue. The Bell Ceramic Ornaments are unglazed stoneware with a ceramic pearl in place of a metal clapper, so they ring with a soft, low chime.
Candle holders and candles
The Block Candle Holder is a single disc of solid brass with a lip that catches wax, and the Bowl Candle Holder is cast brass, shaped to hold a cluster of candles. Both develop a patina with handling. The Balance, Gale and Agapé Wall candle holders round out the range. Pure Candles are stearin, certified to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, and burn clean and largely dripless. More in Ferm Living accessories.
The holiday table
Ferm Living Ripple glassware is mouth-blown into a ribbed mold: wine glasses, champagne saucers with a wide, shallow bowl for sparkling wine, and the Ripple Carafe. The Host red and white wine glasses are also mouth-blown, with a bowl shaped for each wine. Linen Napkins are pre-washed 100% linen that softens with every wash, and the Fountain Centerpiece, unglazed stoneware with a pleated bowl, holds fruit or a large arrangement.
