The Hasami Porcelain Mug in Gloss Gray has a smooth, glossy surface in an even gray, with a bare, unglazed rim and base that reveal the raw clay beneath. The glossy glaze is fired over a dense body of Amakusa pottery stone and porcelain clay, designed by Takuhiro Shinomoto and made in Hasami, Nagasaki. Every Hasami piece of the same diameter stacks flush with the mug, including bowls, plates, and the wood lid that doubles as a cover or coaster, so one mug is the start of a set that grows without looking mismatched.
